About Me

I am a licensed mental health counseling associate in Washington State. I enjoy the outdoors, spending time with my family, and finding meaning in helping others thrive and accomplish their goals. I am an optimist at heart, I approach life with warmth and curiosity. My kids are what motivate me to do my best and grow every day. I am also an Activated Guardsman in the Oregon Air National Guard. I have been serving for nine years and intend to retire from the Air Force. I have deployed several times, worked in multiple roles, and have a deep place in my heart for serving other veterans.

Counseling in my opinion is the therapeutic alliance most marked by the ability to build a connection that can be healing in nature through the corrective emotional experience that therapy brings. My role as a counselor is to work collaboratively with my clients to facilitate healing and bring awareness to current issues they may experience.

I specialize in treatment for PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADD, and transition issues. I have specialized training in EMDR, CBT, Gottman level 1, and schema therapy. I primarily use a person-centered approach that is rooted in the belief that each one of us is the expert of our own lives and has the innate capacity for healing within ourselves.

Dramatic Sunset over the Mountains

“People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, "Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner." I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.”
― Carl R. Rogers
